WEN History (Since 1968)

WEN stands for a Thai word “Wattana” Engineering which means “forever development” for our clients’ satisfaction. Wattana Engineering Company was established in Thailand in 1968 or more than 46 years ago. The company operation started as a small electrical engineering contractor to provide services in electrical installations mainly for U.S. AIR FORCE and OICC’S Electrical System in AIR BASE and AIR FIELD. Over the years, WEN had expanded its organization. We developed and provided, through our professional staff, a wide range of expertise in the field of Civil, Architectural, Electrical (including Low Tension Distribution and High Tension Transmission Line) and Mechanical Engineering.

During the last two decades, high rise buildings were being introduced in Thailand. In order to catch up with the requirements, new techniques were implemented along with necessary equipment, which were particularly suitable for such projects i.e. tower cranes, concrete pumps, formwork systems, passenger lift, post-tensioning concrete, precast concrete, etc. We also acquired a complete fleet of equipment for handling underpinning and grouting works and hence developed a special pile called “MICRO PILE”.

Domestically, WEN is the leading contractor for large scale projects in Thailand. We maintain and operate a complete group of skilled construction workers and equipment, with the help of our special consultants, to tackle and undertake virtually all phases of construction in Thailand. The company has completed over 100 projects successfully. On the account of economic crisis in Thailand in the past decade, we plan and manage to expand our business abroad. WEN Group is eventually established and the operations have been expanded to many countries including Cambodia, Myanmar, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Sudan, and Oman.
